In coffee, the physical characteristics refer to the size, colour, and shape of the beans; the organoleptic characteristics relate to intrinsic properties such as aroma, taste, acidity, and body of the drink. With this course, we will train you to understand green coffee, which will help you in the search, selection, quality control and to understand the raw material in order to communicate better with the trader or supplier.
The application of the concepts of physical characterisation and evaluation of coffee will be complemented with practices, through the recognition of coffee defects, the preparation of samples, the physical evaluation, and sensory analysis of the coffees.
To carry out the course, a dossier with the necessary syllabus will be delivered to the student and a diploma accrediting its completion will be delivered when it ends.
This course is ideal for people who want to get into the coffee industry or those looking to get a broader idea about green coffee. It includes an introduction to quality control concepts, the plant, processing, and coffee classification.
