Mare Terra Coffe Institute
Timur is a licensed Q Grader Arabica and Robusta and AST of the Specialty Coffee Association for the Barista, Brew, Green Coffee, Sensory and Roasting modules). Timur is also a trainer of participants in the SCA championships at national and international level, training several champions in various disciplines and acting as a judge in countries such as Spain, Russia and Ukraine.
Our trainer combines his position as R&D Manager at Mare Terra Coffee with his passion for coffee, which is why he travels all over the world to coffee producing countries, from Ethiopia, Kenya, Brazil and other Latin American countries, with the aim of finding unique origins and promoting the best coffees from each country.
Axel was the Spanish barista champion at the 2017 Specialty Coffee Association championships and represented Spain at the World Barista Championship in Seoul, South Korea that same year. He is a licensed Q-Grader Arabica and Robusta and SCA AST of the Brew and Green Coffee modules.
He is currently the director of QLab at Mare Terra Coffee, leading a team focused on research, quality and innovation in the world of speciality coffee.
